FOOT CAPTURE TECHNIQUE

Gold Standard

We exclusively endorses the Envisic VPS 3D Scanner and flatbed scanning method for seamlessly transferring the Gold Standard foot capture technique (Suspended Casting Technique) into a digital format.

Notably, the Envisic VPS Scanner offers color scanning, enhancing landmark identification on the foot. This differs from some 3D scanners that overlay a grayscale 3D scan with a stretched 2D photo, resulting in distortion and reduced specificity.

Non-Locker

Open System

The Envisic VPS 3D Scanner offers an 'open' (non-locked) system, a crucial feature for enabling clinicians to provide optimal care for their patients.

We suggest utilising the Prescribe Software for seamless management of scan data, allowing for local access and easy uploading to any desired server.

Prescribe Screen

Captures images of the plantar surface, as well as the lateral and medial margins, including the back of the heel.

Full Weight-Bearing

The remarkable feature of the Envisic VPS 3D Scanner is its ability to capture a scan in under 10 seconds, accommodating various positions including non-weight and semi-bearing in supine and prone, seated weight-bearing, and full weight-bearing with a substantial capacity of 160kg.

What’s the Cost?

The Envisic VPS 3D Scanner is available at a capital cost of $12,000 + GST, which covers essential components such as a durable 'pelican' style transport case, a mobile stand for clinic versatility, and crucial onsite training for proficient use of the Envisic VPS 3D Scanner in capturing foot data.

FILE FORMAT

Colour 3D Scan

The Envisic VPS 3D Scanner exports files in (wrl) format, providing vivid, high-detail colour 3D scans. These files are accessible locally via the Prescribe software and can be seamlessly transferred to other orthotic manufacturing systems.

In the rare event that an alternative supplier cannot work with this format, converting a.wrl to a .stl file using a third-party website is quick and free, taking only seconds. This may result in the loss of morphology based points.
